Denmark Trip Part 1

Jeff was doing some research on an artifact collection in Copenhagen in September. We let him go for a week and then met him over there for a short Denmark and Sweden trip. We stuck to eastern Denmark and southwestern Sweden. There was a lot to do and not a lot of time. We look forward to going back again!

Big trip, here we go!

Jeff was staying in a cool apartment in downtown Copenhagen. It was noisy, but right in the middle of things! First night we got in, ate at a trendy pho noodle place and explored the corner grocery store.

The next day was pretty busy, with a swim at an awesome public pool, explorations around an art gallery, pizza lunch, a tour of the canals by boat, drinks at the kayak bar, and dinner at a trendy modern food court. Lots of people and lots of fun!

The next day we headed north to Kronborg castle. It was fun to explore the grounds and some of the old rooms. Our favorite was the ancient septic system! In the afternoon we went to Louisiana, a modern art museum. The best part were the kids interactive exhibits. They were able to replicate artwork by Danish artist Paul Gernes. Very neat!
