My Monkeys in February

We had a super nice February and were tricked into thinking it was spring again. Jack is becoming an excellent reader and Will is becoming an excellent talker. My house is very noisy. Here are my monkeys and some of their February adventures.

Mr. Sly helping dad clean out the shower stall before it was tiled.

Superheros of some sort. Jack usually accessorizes Will.

 Building taller and taller buildings.

 Goofball!

At the library with dad. Working on the computer.

Jack taking a turn in net at Ice Puppies. He was not impressed.

Will goofing around while waiting for the car to get an oil change.

This place is kind of fun dad!
 Let's take this car home.

Hotel party! We went to Chena Hotsprings for Jeff's birthday. Swam in the hot pool, ate french fries at the restaurant, gin and tonics in the hotel room, and skiing!
Will's first time on the skiis. He lasted about 5 minutes.

Back in the sled. Jack is fast now! He could keep up pretty well.

Big project- Santa's sled. Jack and Will talked about this project for a long time before finally getting it built.

End of Ice puppies! Proud kid shows off his trophy.

Will helps fix the shower. Check out those new tiles.

Legoland!

On the way to the airport we stopped at the new Florida Legoland! It was great. All the kids were back at school so we practically had the place to ourselves. No lines!

 We'll ride back here!

 We have arrived!
Yes Jack, everything is made of lego.

 Locked up in the zoo.

Wow! The greatest thing is that I am big enough for a lot of the rides!

I'm going to shoot the water at my dad!

A romantic drive through the park.

 Boys in trouble.

There were some fun playgrounds at Legoland.

 Look! Just tall enough!

This was a hit. A ball room. You could shoot them around with a bunch of different air guns.

I'll drive this boat mom. And he did! Badly!

Getting tired. Need the su su.

Ahhh! We better get out of here and get back home!

Bye Bye Beach House

And here are the last of our crazy beach house days.

Digging a hole to China.
Amy and Christian on the chilly beach.

Fondue night.

Making rice krispie square messes and eating icing.

Christian whips up a seafood pasta lunch one day when my parents come for a visit.

Check out that fancy straw that the bartender gave him!

Nana getting a good long cuddle!

 Making traps for the seagulls.

Snacks with Papa.

Bodyboarding in the cold.

The waves were great. We were trying to teach Christian how to ride them. BRRR!

Winter! Ikea! and Christmas #3

Winter, the dolphin with no tail from Dolphin Tale lives a few minutes from the beach house. Carolyn got the movie for the boys to watch and we went to the aquarium the next day. The aquarium saves and takes care of marine life that can't be returned to the ocean. It was almost bankrupt when the movie came out. Now they are doing well. The boys loved all the stories and meeting Winter and her friends Panama, baby Hope, and Nicholas.

 Off to see winter!

Secret they don't tell you in the movie- she can swim without the prosthetic tail- uses it only for therapy.

There she is!!

Cuddles at lunch after the aquarium.

There is an Ikea in Tampa. Jeff and I wanted to go, but I think the boys had the most fun.

They crawled into every bed... and we let them.

Grammer took the boys shopping for Christmas. Jack got an ipod to play games on.

Will had a terrible time deciding which baby to pick. He decided on the one in the lower right-hand corner... she came with a stroller. He named her "Baby Mangy".
