We went hiking on the north point of the island the next day, near the small town of Hawi. There are usually a ton of whales up there, but we only saw a few. It was windy and I got bit by fire ants! But survived the ordeal. The archaeology site is King Kamehameha's birth site. There are offerings there. Jack put a quarter in. I gave one to Will too but he kept it. After this we went for fancy organic shave ice and back into Waimea to play at the fun playground and go to the brewery for dinner. We sat between two families and made friends with both.
