Many Amazing Sites in Pahoa One Day

This day in the Puna district was jam packed with action. The day started with the boys squeezing lemons and oranges from the trees outside for their morning juice (sour!). Then off to the Lava Tree forest, which was actually very damaged by a storm and mostly closed off to public. Then off to find some "ocean pools" on the east side of the island. The surf was high though and it was more dangerous than usual. The boys took this time to try to build a beach fire (Jack) and make a store (Will). The next stop was snorkeling at Kapoho Tidal Pools. We tried out the new gopro and had a great time seeing all the fish. Then we were off to the hot pond at Alahanui Park where hot springs mix with ocean water. Will remembered how to swim here and had a good time going back and forth between mom and dad. We finished the day at a secret hot pond in a cave. Back to our place for football practice and steak dinner. Wow! What a day!
