Gold Rush History (and Prehistory) Scamping Trip: Day 9

Day 9: Little John

We packed up camp and hit the road. North again all the way from Haines, north through Haines Junction and Kluane Park in Canada, all the way to the Alaska border. We stopped just short of the US at the 12,000 year old Little John archaeology site. Yukon archaeologist Norm Easton was a wonderful host and we had a nice dinner and did some excavating at the old site. The next day we drove straight back home with only a stop for lunch in Tok. What a great trip!
