Trip to Calgary

We took a trip to Calgary at the beginning of the month to reunite with the Esdale clan and be with my sister on her wedding. Fun times! We stayed with some friends that have boys almost the same age as Jack and Will and some Edmonton friends came down for a visit too! Here are some moments from all of the fun.

First things first! Some Margaret time! Look at that cutie! All decked out in things that I mailed to her in the past.

It was raining the whole time we were in Calgary, but we got out  during a drizzle break and ran around a bit. Then we did a pizza party for the boys' birthdays and ate cake. Good stuff!

The next day we went to the studio to help set up for the wedding.

Jack and Will had a ball running around exploring and helping Papa with construction work. Here they found a fort under the stairs.

The boys we stayed with, Matt and Stuart, spoke Ninjago and Skylanders fluently. What a blast!

They hit it off immediately, but our boys were too shy to share bedrooms with Astrid's kids!

The sun came out Saturday and we hit the Calgary Zoo after the wedding rehearsal. Erin and Corey came down from Edmonton with their boys Ben and Phillip. Astrid came too with Matt and Stuart. The big boys were joined at the hip talking about Minecraft the whole time. I don't think they noticed the animals.

The boys (L-R, Jack, Matt, Stuart, Phillip, Ben, random kid, Will) playing it cool while the moms learn how far tigers can shoot pee. Yuck.

These fish eat Hippo poop! Everyone has a job at the zoo.

Turn around and look at at least one animal!
Snack time!

Then it was off to a bbq at  Shawn's neices house. Bouncy house??? AWESOME!

I hardly got any photos there but here is my Nana, cousin Kristie, and her son Sean enjoying the sun!

After the wedding we helped clean up (yep, our boys are from Alaska).

Then spent the day with Nana and Papa. The boys spent the night in their hotel. Nana slept on the floor with them. We had lunch, went to the studio to clean up some more, the to supper with Grand-Nana and Nana and Papa to say good bye!

On our last day we hit Ikea!

Spent the afternoon at the park with Jennie, Shaun, and Margaret...

Cousins!!

The little princess! What an adorable kid. She talks in full sentences in the tiniest little voice, knows who everyone is, and is full of beans! What a fun neice!

And then out for dinner with Astrid and the boys. Steven and Stuart sword fighting.

Jack and Matt writing comics.

Good food and good friends! What a great trip!
