A Visit From Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa came for their summer visit this July. It was a nasty July, and rained 8 out of the 10 days that they were visiting, but what can you do? My parents were here to see the boys and help with projects, so they were busy in teh house anyway. I was at work a lot with many exciting archaeology projects going on, so I did not take enough photos! Oh well. Here were the exciting events:

Nana and Papa took on our back room. Day one we took out all the tools and misc. junk that had been stored in that room and Papa painted and got outlet covers on. Over the weekend, while I was in the field, Nana took all the toys out of the boys' rooms, reorganized, and put them in the playroom.

Wow... who knew we had so many toys. We got rid of a few, but not enough!

The kids had to play with every toy as it was brought out. Will is especially fond of dress up stuff right now... remind you of anyone else when he was 3??

View of the finished room (yes, dad did get to keep some tools!).

And towards the window. A little crowded, but fun! The boys have been playing non-stop! And they seem to play much nicer together in here than they did when the toys were in their rooms (no GET OUT OF MY ROOM!!).

Golf Camp. Jack has the bug.

My birthday at the new Hibachi restaurant in town. We had fun watching all of the crazy tricks! The boys loved it.

Ah, you only turn 29 a few times....

And then cupcakes at home with the boys.

Another project was putting in a perennial bed in our few hours of sun one day. That will look nice in 5-10 years!

And then lots of cocktails and art projects with the boys.

A good time was had by all.

One more golfing event before the grandparents leave!

Hey! Where did my ball go?

Bye Nana and Papa! Can't wait to see you again soon!
