Rainy July

We are having a very rainy summer! The sun has poked out a couple of times so that we can get exploring or take a trip to the beach.
Jack investigates the insides of an old digital camera.

Will measures.

Rainbow after a shower!

Outside picnic despite the rain. We have a tent next to the fire.

These friends came to the picnic.

Happy 8th birthday Jasper! We had a party. Jack made a doggie scavenger hunt.

Sunny afternoon at the beach with a friend and squirt guns.

Lots of construction.

New tent umbrella provides some shade, and a base camp.

The best part- junk food!

We also went on adventure to the Dry Creek site, one of the oldest archaeological sites in the Nenana Valley. We took my whole crew from work. Everyone had a great time.

Jeff and Jack look for obsidian pebbles in the creek bed.

A little back dirt construction.

There may be some artifacts here!

Goofball.

Jack excavating at Dry Creek.

The boys could have spent all day in the back dirt pile!

Love the pictures of the boys at the work site! They are having a great time. It rained almost the entire time we were in Chitina but we had a fun time anyway.
