Day 17 & 18: Heading Home

Sadly our vacation had to come to an end. We spent the last full day at the beach and petroglyphs in Puako, near our condo. There is great snorkeling there. We forgot the camera, but Jeff and I got to swim with a sea turtle.

Climbing during the hike to the petroglyphs.

Get off of that rock carving you monkey!

Acting out the petroglyph people poses.

The morning that we were going home the boys were up EARLY. We went outside to collect flowers off the ground to make a lei.

What is this thing, really?

Our flight didn't leave until 8pm, so we packed up, left the condo and explored some places on the way to the airport. Here the boys are discovering the fountains at one of the resorts.

They eventually got soaked!

One last beach stop! This was a cool place because it was also an archeological site with ancient fish traps.

A natural play pen.

Dinner at Lulu's before heading to bed on the plane.

We put our names on a dollar bill and stapled it to the wall. We wonder if it will still be there next time we come to Hawaii!
