Adventures in archaeology...

Summer time means archaeological excavations and surveys in our world! We can't wait until we can have our boys out at an excavation with us, but until then... mini trips will do.

Jack and Jeff found some broken down cabins on a trip in search of obsidian.

Nope, no obsidian in the river.

Jack has been doing a lot of flint knapping with dad. Obsidian flakes and tools are scattered (mom) or orgnaized (Jack) in different stations all over the yard.

Jack searching for flakes in the back dirt piles at the Mead site.

Boys getting dusty and dirty at Broken Mammoth.

Jack gets his own unit at Broken Mammoth...

Will still has to excavate with mom!

We sure hope you'll take my boys too!!
