Wall of windows.

Construction update... no, we are not upstairs yet. We finally got the electrician here to do the wiring, but we are still waiting on 5 windows! As soon as they get in we can get the drywallers in. To keep the carpenters busy, however, we decided to get them started on the downstairs. 3 sides of the house are getting make-overs. New framing, windows, doors, and all the wall parts in between! Our east wall is the main project. We are putting windows all along that side of the house to take advantage of our beautiful view. We are also putting a new door and window in on the south end of the living room, and reframing the kitchen walls for a new window. We don't have any of the windows yet, but the walls are being done and our carpenters are closing in the holes with insulation. Since we are planning to be out of town this coming week, we are taking the kitchen apart this weekend so the guys can keep framing. We will have to rig something up for cooking/cleaning when we get back... we are not ready to finish the kitchen yet!

Framing the east wall... check out those awesome window holes.. 2 feet off the ground and all of the way to the ceiling!

Little cutie.

We have been ripping down drywall in our spare time.. and this is the room we are sleeping in right now! Dusty but heh, it is progress!

The insulated walls. Perfect for our Halloween decorations.

Taking apart the kitchen. We are moving this to wire racks so we can take out those nasty shelves and cabinets. I will not miss those! I am getting a window right in the middle of that wall. It will be great for checking out who is coming up the driveway.

I'm glad you get a break from the construction! Are you all sleeping in the bathroom? :)
