On New Year's Day we headed south to Nana and Papa's house. We had a hard time getting through the caged community because of all the turtles on the road. We had to stop twice to relocated stranded turtles. Unfortunately, we found out later that the pond we put the turtles in had an alligator in it! We hope they survived. The kids had another Christmas when they got to Nana and Papa's house. Water guns for the pool. That got a little crazy for awhile! Jennie arrived with Margaret and Iona that night. The little girls were excited to see their cousins and love swimming as much as the boys! We had a few fun outings like going to the flee market, going to a party at the club house for Nana's hole-in-one, golfing, bike rides, and fishing at the beach. The weather wasn't hot but we had a nice relaxing time and lots of fun with the little monkeys. One of the highlights of the trip was dance night with a special Frozen sing-along by Margaret and Iona. It was crazy fun with all those people in the house! The boys were ready to get back to Alaska and their wintery activities.
Saving the turtles! Or delivering them back to the pond with the alligators.
