Catching Up

Last week we moved from Felicia's house back home. We are still cleaning (there was a layer of concrete and drywall dust on every toy, nook, and cranny, but now that we have the washer and dryer up and running, and the stairs in, it is starting to feel more like home. The HRV (air ventilation system) is going in tomorrow, and our kitchen cabinets are being installed next Tuesday! Right now we don't have any sinks on the main floor and are washing dishes in the bathtub, but it is good to be home and getting things in order before Christmas! We will have to make the house festive this weekend.

Made it to a kid's workshop at one of MANY Home Depot trips. The boys had a great time.

Impressed with the gingerbread houses at the annual competition. We will have to enter next year!

Gentle wrestling on the new floor.

Jeff rented a terrazzo grinder t smooth out our concrete floor. Then we washed it for 3 days before sealing it.

Christmas may be slow in coming at our house, but we got into the spirit staying at Felicia's.

Jack and Will helped Felicia trim the tree.

Jack came home from school as a reindeer one day...

Santa came to Ice Puppies last weekend. Jack couldn't believe that Santa knew his name (it was on the back of his jersey).

Back at home, Will helps our contractor put in the stairs.

Our beautiful glue-lam stair case. It is a work of art! I can't believe all of the time and energy that went into it!

That's a lot of work! The orange wall is very funky, I'll have to show Ben, it's his favorite color!!
